Jean-Marc Alma-Charley,

The question is asked is clearly in the title, and I meant it exactly the way I asked it. No sir, adopting a person is not "saving" them. That's the same kind of logic where a parent who didn't abort their child but then didn't create the proper environment to raise a child successfully, before the baby was even conceived, turns around an says "Well at least I had my baby and didn't kill it."

A lot of good it does to "guide a child," as you put it, if you're not guiding the child in a manner that is in their best interests. Nothing about the question I posed is absurd. We live in a world where black people are targeted in every metric of the society, and where black children need to be prepared by the parents to deal with that unfortunate reality.

The average white person isn't going to rail against systemic/anti-black racism because they benefit from it. Therefore, how is a white couple who hasn't committed themselves to eliminating this system of injustice, upon which they benefit from, going to successfully prepare a child, physically and physiologically, to deal with a world that is gunning for them on every level?

I look forward to reading your response, and the 8 people who clapped for your comment are more than welcome to chime in as well.

One Love & One Justice,
